2024 Here We Come

As we usher in the year 2024, it's that time when many of us embark on the journey of setting goals, making resolutions, and striving for a "New Year, New Me!" I, like many of you, have always embraced the opportunity for a fresh start and a chance to transform myself. Perhaps you can relate to this sentiment as well.

New Year New ME

Have you ever thought the following: This year, my primary focus is on achieving weight loss and undergoing a personal “transformation.” Setting clear goals and envisioning a new version of myself is at the forefront of my endeavors. I believe many of us have experienced the common struggle of walking into a room and subconsciously comparing ourselves to others. It's a challenge that resonates with so many.

As a Health and Wellness & ICF Executive coach, I have encountered my fair share of challenges, "body-shaming" and grappling with self-doubt. Having grown up in a Hispanic-Patriarchal environment, I am acutely aware of the impact of societal pressures when it comes to body image and self-worth. This journey is deeply personal and vulnerable for me.

Through my own experiences, I have discovered a new approach to weight loss—one that revolves around loving oneself and embracing compassion for the size and shape you aspire to be. It was my husband's genuine concern for my health that opened my eyes to this perspective, and it has truly been a transformative experience.

Having made significant progress with myself, I have now transitioned into a role as a leadership and wellness coach, guiding others with these same principles. If you are seeking to achieve your goals for 2024 and make lasting changes in your life, I am here to offer support and guidance. Remember, it is essential to love yourself throughout this process.

I don’t believe in restricting foods, even desserts! Take this quiz to see what kind of “dessert eater” you are.  Share this story with others and always keep in mind the importance of self-love as you work towards your aspirations.

You are enough! Wishing you all a Happy New Year!
